Marc Du Plantier
(1901 – 1975)
Trained as a painter and architect, Marc du Plantier started his career towards the end of 1920s. His first interiors, for his Parisian flat and then for his hotel particulier in Boulogne, attracted wealthy and well-educated clients. Marc du Plantier quickly distinguished himself from the modernists by reinterpreting antiques forms and creating sumptuous interiors. Despite of uneven success, his work led him to be in Spain and then California and Mexico after the war.
