Les Ateliers Martine
Les Ateliers Martine, a school created by Paul Poiret, gathered young uneducated women to freely create colorful patterns. It was from those drawings of flowers and animals sketched in parks and zoos that textiles and wallpapers were made. Step by step, the workshop evolved towards the creation of carpets, lights, ceramics and other decorative objects which were sold in the shop that bear the name Les Ateliers Martine. The furniture production was introduced under Guy-Pierre Fauconnet.
